In our view, the hunt for drugs is the last stage in an individual’s life who has not found a deep, complete, and harmonious philosophical answer compatible with their existential problems.
"Addiction is the equivalent, on a low level, of the spiritual thirst of our being for wholeness."
- Carl Jung
Addiction is neither properly understood nor adequately addressed.
Traditional views label addiction as a “brain disorder", “chronic disease”, “moral problem” and something you need to just say “no” to. Many believe addiction is genetic, and some experts still believe: “once an addict, always an addict.”
We believe, instead, that addiction is fundamentally NOT a medical, moral or chronic condition but an addressable social problem. It is the result of a crisis of how individuals and the communities they live in think about and make sense of themselves and the world around them.
Our approach is rooted in the belief that philosophy is not just an intellectual pursuit, but a practical guide for living a meaningful and fulfilling life.
By working on oneself with the support of philosophical advisors - observing oneself, learning about oneself and being exposed to ideas that challenge the existing assumptions and beliefs about one's self and the world - anyone struggling with dependency on a chemical substance can find wholeness and healing.
Our philosophical advisers provide personalized guidance and support tailored to participants' unique needs, aspirations and goals. Through one-on-one sessions, participants will gain clarity, set meaningful objectives, and develop actionable plans to achieve health, wholeness and overcome addiction. Our advisers are dedicated to helping each person navigate life's complexities and put an end to the suffering they experience.
“I was initially skeptical... Now we are coming up on a year, and I can say they saved my son’s life and brought him back to me after years of suffering. He used to self-medicate with alcoholism and weed just to get through the day. I’m happy to report that [my son] is in a good place today...”
Yolanda, parent of a participant
“The practical philosophy is the only reason that I love my life, I have now conquered my inner monsters that led me down a long dark road ending in death. I escaped that elusive death trap now I am excited to live the long happy life I have before me full of love, joy and prosperity. Thank you for everything you have done for me.”
Joe, former participant
"Everywhere I turned I heard illness, disease, and forever, but my parents and I could not believe that I would be an addict forever. We never gave up that idea, and it led us to the practical philosophy. The place that brought my life back, the place that cured me from heroin addiction.”
Jimmy, former participant
“The practical philosophy is saving my life and giving me the tools to live and be successful in every aspect of my life. There is nothing better than to know yourself and find your truth and purpose in this life.” - Anna, former participant
